Happy Women's Day to everyone who entered!
Today on Women’s Day, we celebrate all the incredible women who make such a difference throughout our entire organisation; from farming to production, from quality and operations to sales and marketing. We are truly blessed to have them all as part of our Fair Cape family.

Whilst we can’t highlight every female employee today, we are excited to introduce you to the three female Directors on The Fair Cape Dairies Board, Ghawwa Adams, Carla Harper and Megan Combrink.

Ghawwa Adams:
Ghawwa joined the Fair Cape Group in 2002 as Quality Control Manager and progressed to her current position of Raw Milk and Quality Director in charge of Production and Quality processes for the group.

Her previous responsibilities have included, inter alia, quality assurance, laboratory management, production planning and optimisation, operations management, plant and equipment maintenance, raw milk planning and purchasing and developing quality systems.

Ghawwa completed numerous courses and workshops, such as internal auditing for food safety, laboratory management, advanced dairy analytical procedures, human resources and operations management. In 2013 she completed a Leadership and Management Development programme.

Carla Harper:
Carla joined Fair Cape in 2006, as Organisational Development Specialist, a position she held for six years. She completed the Executive Development Programme at the Stellenbosch Business School in 2011 and was appointed to head up the IT Department in 2012. In 2017, Carla was appointed to the Fair Cape Board of Directors as Executive Director ICT. Carla’s message to all women is a quote from Nora Ephron, “Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim”

Megan Combrink:
After completing an Honours degree from the Science Faculty at the University of Stellenbosch, Megan joined the sales team at Fair Cape Dairies in 2001. She progressed to the roles of Sales Manager and thereafter National Key Account Manager and was recently appointed to the Fair Cape Board of Directors as the Sales Director.

Megan has been instrumental in the significant growth of the Fair Cape Brand over the past ten years. She achieved this through effective business development strategies that resulted in increased market share in both existing and new categories.

“In my role as Sales Director at Fair Cape Dairies, I will endeavour to promote equal rights for all and create an equitable workplace that works for everyone. I will be celebrating Women’s Day with my husband and children, and knowing them, they will do something very special” says Megan.

On behalf of Fair Cape, we wish all our female consumers and employees a wonderful Women’s Day
