He shares more than 35 years of practical business & management experience with a number of companies. At present he acts as a Company Director (executive or non-executive, pending the company) and Business Advisor. He is also the Chairman of Audit, Risk Management & Corporate Governance committees; Chairman & member of Human Resources & Manpower Development Committees; & Chairman of Board of Directors. His portfolio of business experience, knowledge and subject matter expertise covers practical Leadership & Management; Marketing & Sales; Supply, Procurement, Purchasing & Materials Management; Finance, Administration & Human Resources; Corporate Governance; and Successful Business Practices.

He is involved in continuing professional people development initiatives; as well as ad hoc business development assignments in a wide spectrum of small to medium/large businesses. He also provides services as a business coach, mentor, counsellor, assessor, facilitator & trainer.

He is also the presenter of an executive level people & team development curriculum (10 Modules).

His past involvement: Successful companies such as General Motors – 9 years (Marketing Research Co-ordinator, then Manager, Marketing Services & thereafter Materials Manager, respectively) - 1970’s; Unifruco Ltd –12 Years (General Manager – Finance & Administration, including Procurement, materials management and selling of packing materials, Human Resources, Info Management, & director of companies) – 1980’s; the Pepkor Group – 6 Years (Director of Pepfin (Pty) Ltd, Pep International [Pty] Ltd, and Pepkor Finance [Pty] Ltd) – 1990’s; & Credit Suisse Fides, Switzerland (Business Developer). He also assisted in the establishment of business foundations for African Online Scientific Information Systems (Pty) Ltd www.aosis.co.za (Company Director); Electronic Continued Professional Development [Pty] Ltd (Healthcare Professionals) www.ecpdsa.co.za, (Company Director) & Assessors of Human Capital [Pty] Ltd – 1997+ (Company Director). Immediately after having achieved a B.Com- degree, he started his career as a Techno-Economist at the Council for Scientific & Industrial Research, and after two years he joined ISCOR and at the same time lectured at the University of Pretoria [Evening Classes in Mathematics & Statistics to B.Com students] for one year prior to joining General Motors SA.

He graduated from the University of Pretoria with three degrees, i.e. B.Com [5 Majors – Full Time], B.Com (Hons) [4 Majors – Part Time] and M.Com Cum Laude [3 Majors – Part Time]. He attended various business related courses and participated in updated & new subject matter learning initiatives, and was involved in various domestic & international business related assignments.
