CEO and Director of Companies

Melt Loubser, B.Sc-degree [Civil Engineering] – 4 Years, University of Stellenbosch, CEO and Director of Companies. He shares more than 25 years of engineering related, agriculture and business experience. He completed his schooling at Durbanville Primary and Boland Agricultural High School, Western Cape, South Africa, where he was a member of the 1st Team [Rugby]. He also successfully completed first grade maths through Unisa [University of South Africa] during compulsory two-year military training service. He is actively involved in continuing professional development through acquiring knowledge about the latest business educational articles, summaries, best practices and textbooks. He also serves on the various Corporate Governance Committees of the Board.

He started his career as a Civil Engineer, and applied his knowledge and gained useful experience being in charge of big civil engineering projects for 10 years. He was a founder member of the Fair Cape Group of Companies in January 1995, and has been the CEO since that time [14 years]

Since inception, Melt and the Fair Cape Team jointly turned it into a well respected and leading South African Dairy organisation. Numerous new products were launched to satisfy stakeholder needs. Joining the organised Dairy industry and becoming chairperson of the South African Milk Processors Organisation in 2007. Also elected as a Director of Milk South Africa in the same year. By putting together a highly competent management team, the team assisted Melt in aligning the Fair Cape Group with world class principles and driving a philosophy of BTWC [“Better than World-Class”].

Melt and the Fair Cape Group has an extensive network of global and domestic suppliers of goods & services, and buyers [such as Woolworths, Checkers, Spar, Independent Retailers, and others]. Fair Cape is proud to be associated with its highly rated network of stakeholders, all for which the quality of goods & services is of prime importance.

Melt’s portfolio includes responsibilities as a company director, the overall CEO management of all business functions, human resources and various agricultural and business related assignments. He has an extensive network of agriculture suppliers of goods and services, as well as subject matter experts relating to agriculture and business.

He is a keen fisherman, hunter and enjoys the outdoors.
